How to use

How to get value from each feature on the converter.

  1. Step 1

    Turn on the timeline view

Open the homepage converter and add at least two cities. The multi-city timeline is the default workspace.

  2. Step 2

    Use color to spot overlap

Bright work-hour tiles show business-friendly blocks; darker night tiles warn you before you schedule too late.

  3. Step 3

    Mark a meeting range

Click the first and last hour of your proposed call. Meeting window lists every city’s local start and end.

  4. Step 4

    Tune display preferences

Switch 12h/24h, show timezone abbreviations, or mark weekends from Settings, then share the updated link.

Use cases

Feature combinations that solve real scheduling problems.

  • Overlap hunting for distributed teams

Combine the aligned grid with work-hour colors to find the shortest polite window across three continents.

  • Async handoff planning

Use date strip + meeting selection to document when one region’s end-of-day becomes another’s morning.

  • Stakeholder-ready links

Pin home, reorder cities the way leadership reads them, then send Link to this view instead of a screenshot.

  • Travel-day briefings

Flip formats to 24h for ops teams while keeping am/pm for executives on the same shared URL.

Examples

Concrete feature walk-throughs.

  • Weekend-aware planning

Enable Mark weekends, add Dubai and Berlin, then avoid Friday/Saturday blocks that look fine in UTC but fall on local weekends.

  • Abbreviation clarity

Turn on timezone abbreviations so EST/EDT vs BST is visible beside each live clock while you hover the grid.

  • Reorder for the invite

Move the customer’s city to the top row, set it as home, select the agreed hours, and copy times for the calendar invite.

FAQ

Feature-specific questions.

What does “same column, same moment” mean?+

Every city row is aligned to the same absolute time. Moving one column right advances every city by one home-local hour slot together.

Can I hide weekends or abbreviations?+

Yes. Open Settings on the converter to toggle weekend shading and timezone abbreviations independently.

Does meeting selection support multi-hour calls?+

Yes. Click one hour to start, click another to complete the range, or click the same hour again to clear a single-hour selection.

Will my feature preferences sync to teammates?+

Cities, home, date, and clock format sync via the share URL. Display toggles like weekend marks stay in your browser preferences.
